Student and Staff Achievements: June 1, 2026

Omaha Public Schools is pleased to recognize the following staff and students for their academic, extracurricular and professional achievements:

• All Omaha Public Schools 2026 graduates.
• Dean Stamp, Omaha Public Schools teacher of the visually impaired, for receiving the 2026 Dr. Benton and Harriet Kutler Outstanding Vision Teacher Award from the Nebraska Foundation for Visually Impaired Children.
• South High’s boys’ soccer for qualifying for the 2026 Nebraska School Athletics Association Soccer Championship.
• Stan Shaw, Westview High girls’ tennis coach, for being named the Metro Coach of the Year by the Metro Tennis Coaches Association (MTCA).
• The Westview High girls’ tennis team for being selected as the Metro Sportsmanship Team of the Year by the MTCA.
• Jessica Koch, Northwest High math teacher, for being recognized as a 2026 Exemplary School Champion by the ACE Mentor Program.
• The Omaha Public Schools students selected as Joyce Ivy Summer Scholars by the Joyce Ivy Foundation.
